Here are the links we find useful in learning more about land, land regulations, land care and conservation and just having a great time outdoors.
Please let us know if there are other sites you find especially helpful in your enjoyment of the land.
Publicly owned and accessible land
The Missouri Department of Conservation is the first source I go to for most things outdoors. They are at www.MissouriConservation.org
Missouri's Conservation Atlas contains information on facilities, maps, topos and other material needed to locate over 900 publicly owned and accessible areas in Missouri. It is for sale at www.mdcnatureshop.com
Access to private land for any use is at the discretion of the owner. To be prepared to ask for fishing or hunting privileges on someone's land, you need to know as much as possible about the location, topography and availability of access via a stream, road or trail. You can find detailed maps of most areas in Missouri at the Department of Transportations web site www.modot.mo.gov/newsandinfo/CountyMaps.htm
Covers almost everything agricultural in the State of Missouri.
